Dirty south music has long been under appreciated. Southern bred artists come with a style that not many people can  relate to, but can't help but love and respect. With the most straight forward, non-agreeable style of all time in hip hop dirty south artists have had to fight their way into the world of rap from the beginning.  The question I must ask now would be... is the world ready for 1887 music? Ran by Artist Carlton Kingdom 1887 music seems to be giving people a style of rap that we have not seen in a while. Although not of the most lyrical kind we have ever heard, there is a strong sense of yearning in this music, to give the world more than the typical style of rap music that we are used to hearing.

Carlton Kingdom brings back the old UGK trill life feeling to the game.With his all-around style of rap, Carlton Kingdom addresses the streets and yet still chooses to acknowledge a higher power in God. There are not many rappers now a days that are willing to take the risk of admitting a belief in any kind of God, but Carlton Kingdom has made the decision that he will acknowledge the man up stairs by any means necessary. The feeling I get when I listen to his music is pure love for making it. Carlton Kingdom seems to enjoy making music more than any other artist that I have heard in years, and will probably hear for years to come. In his song titled "You Never Know" Carlton Kingdom says "Some do it for the fame / Some do it for the money / Man I do it for the love and the change that comes from it.

Carlton Kingdom definitely makes music that I would recommend every music lover to listen to. As I browsed through his catalog I found myself absorbed by sounds of hunger, and the need to be heard.
