As a producer I always get hit with a blast of questions about lease beats. I never turn down the chance to educate a young rapper, singer, or songwriter about the world of beats. There has to be somebody out there willing to give you the skinny on how to fatten your pockets in the music industry. So today I am answering this question. Can you put lease beats on your album? YES.. but the question that follows is, would it be a good idea?


Long before the age of internet producers came along, the producer and the artist had a relationship that was closer than Oreos and a glass of milk. The rapper would be in the studio with his producer 24 hours per day and everything created he knew was for him, and him alone. Now with lease beats becoming more popular than ever, artists are having to share most of their tracks with another artist. Not only is sharing the track with a major amount of other artists an issue, but limitations on what the artist can do with the beats are becoming more of an issue as well.

Here are some tips for all artists who want to avoid any of these problems.

Tip #1 - Find a producer with exclusive beats you can afford. Search google for "Cheap Exclusive Beats"... or just google "Exclusive Beats" and search through the producer websites until you find a price that works for you.

Tip #2 - Work on one record at a time, and slowly build up a project with all exclusive beats. If you do it like this you will save tons of money and avoid the hassle of having other artists on one of your beats.

Tip #3 - Sell your music instead of giving it away. It is always great idea to put out a single for sale as you continue to work on your album. Not only does it build a great buzz for your new up and coming project, but it also can help a great deal in paying for those exclusive beats.

Follow these tips and you have my personal guarantee that your next album will make you a fortune, not cost you a fortune.
