AC Muzik
Kool People Too
Overall Rating: 7/10

Lyrics: 7/10
Originality: 8/10
Production: 7/10
Content: 6/10

If rappers were warriors, their lyrics would be their most deadly skill. Lyrical content decides the fate of any rap artist who chooses to make a career of rap music. When you deliver those rhymes be they scripted or impromptu straight off the brain they must hit hard. AC Muzik has delivered to us a mixtape that falls short of lyrically immortality, but independently is ready for hard battle.

Originality was all there, minus the industry instrumentals, all concepts seemed to be very refreshing and unlike today's daunting hip hop scene. Speaking of the instrumentals I must say that the instrumental selection was a bit mediocre for this project. Vocal quality, and engineering was very much on point but boring instrumentals and untimely skits were a major issue for me.

In terms of content I was left scratching my head on this mixtape. Not saying I was told the mixtape was supposed to follow some sort of conceptual guideline, but the content and the title just didn't have any sort of connection for me. AC Muzik, forgive me if I am missing something here, but at this moment I am calling your choice of records the biggest blunder of this mixtape.

Still it all comes down to one question.... the ultimate question we ask ourselves after each one of these reviews. Had I been approached by AC Muzik and asked to purchase a copy of this mixtape, what would I have done? For the fact that I love to support all independent artists who put hard work into their music, and the fact that he really does know how to rap... I would buy it.

Do Independent Rap Artist Get Enough Radio Spins?

Often times there are independent rap artists in the world who make very good music. You may be one of those artists. If you are, you of course believe that you are worthy of having your music played next to the top signed artists you hear every day on the radio. Truth is... your right, but even hip hop radio stations make it hard to get radio spins lately.

You put money into your craft, investing in studio time, music production and other things needed to be an artist in this music industry. You even did your research and found yourself a performance rights organization that you would like to collect your royalties for you. Now all you have to do is find some radio stations willing to give you enough time on the air to actually collect a check.

IBFU Radio is a designed solution to that problem. You get to take advantage of the high demand for independent artists, the constant rotation of your music, and the fact that you get paid royalties for every spin you get. IBFU Radio spins nothing but independent rap artists, and puts each one of them in regular rotation. You even get to pick the date and time your music will premier.

Tune in to IBFU Radio live on your PC or Mobile Device and see what all of the hype is about. MAJOR MUSIC PROMOTIONS IS PROUD TO PRESENT

AK The Abstract Kollection

Akron, Ohio rapper 'AK' has released his latest mixtape 'The Abstract Kollection' on datpiff and it looks to be a blazing hot addition to Datpiff's already astounding collection of mixtapes.

This release features some of that old school "boom bap" feel mixed with some of that new school flavor. AK is a hard working artist who is dedicated to making music and intends

on taking his budding music career from inclining independent to in the game international.

With classic singles like 'This Is My Game' and 'Space Funk Flow' this mixtape is undoubtedly rated "worth the listen" in my book. AK is out to prove a point to the rap game with

this mixtape. The music on this release screams out for the world to love real hip hop once again.

Go take a listen and download the free mixtape from this amazing artist.
