RAPPER SPADE MONROW SIGNS DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH FORBES MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

  image

NEW DISTRIBUTION DEAL FOR SPADE MONROW MARKS THE LAUNCH DOPE HITZ ENTERTAINMENT

Trenton, New Jersey - October 21, 2016 -- Following the path of the many artists seeking a way to the top outside of the major-label system, Spade Monrow has finally brought his search of a brighter tomorrow to a close. The New Jersey emcee took to social media on Friday (Oct. 21) to announce his signing in just two words “Big Plays,” and joins the growing list of label owners signing the historic deals FME has to offer.

Monrow first came to be known as a member of the rap group “Loyal Gang,” but left the group in early 2015 to focus on his solo career. Since then, he has focused on the release of his debut album and plans to announce the release of his first mainstream single in the upcoming weeks.

Forbes Music is most known for bridging the gap between independent recording artists and the mainstream recording industry. Launching partnerships in publishing, radio, media and tour promotions to advance the careers of the recording artists distributed under their brand, Forbes has aimed to cultivate a major industry platform for independent artists.

With this deal comes the ability for Monrow to reach millions of consumers – a task he had struggles with in the past – and build a brand for future touring. Monrow has totaled streams in the tens of thousands across his Soundcloud account and maintained a solid audience since the launch of his solo career. Now with the launch of Dope Hitz Entertainment and his new distribution deal he knows that not only his streaming audience but his earnings will grow.

Artists under marketing and distribution by Forbes Music have combined for over 30 million streams in 2015 and sold over 200,000 units worldwide. Their vast list of independent acts includes several award winners, DRT chart toppers and Amazon Music top 100 sellers among many other accolades. Monrow comes on board with ambitions of being their most successful artist yet.

New Jersey Rapper Nastyelgic Releases New Single 'Come Wit Me'

In anticipation to the release of his debut album "Back When Music Was," Nastyelgic premiers his new single "Come Wit Me," featuring Tyreke Meade. "Come Wit Me" premiered Friday, August 12, 2016 featuring a stellar performance from both artists over an explosive club record produced by Jaronamo Beats.

https://soundcloud.com/forbesmusicentertainment/nastyelgic-come-wit-me-clean

"Come Wit Me" shows the up and coming rapper Nastyelgic going back to his roots to work with producer Jaronamo Beats. The young producer, who also happens to be the biological brother of Nastyelgic also produced his debut release "Killin Hip Hop," undoubtedly his most successful release to date.

Nastyelgic's upcoming album "Back When Music Was" is set to debut this year. Early reviews of the album describe the feeling as that of the old school way fused with a new school sound, which happens to be the same sound that gave birth the rappers name. "I want people to feel nostalgia for the old school music" Nastyelgic says, "the music industry is all but yearning for a return of the sounds from 80's and 90's artists."

Alabama rapper 'Young Boogatti' releases new single 'Late Night Luv'

Montgomery, Alabama - 8/7/2016 (Forbes Music News)

Hip hop recording artist Young Boogatti has released his latest single “Late Night Luv” off his debut album “In The Hood.” The single was selected by Boogatti's label (Purple Elephant Music) to be a crossover, hip hop slash r&b single that could possibly break into the top 40 charts. The featured singer on Late Night Luv has massive appeal for the females, but the song still packs enough of the thug life feel for the fellas to jam.

Boogatti plans to use his earned influence and travel schedule to educate the youth about safe sex practices. The goal of this campaign will be to first target parents in the Southeast region of the United States with the statistics about transmitted diseases in our youth. The hopes are that the parents will take heed to the statistics and share the facts with their kids. They are calling upon all the major news networks to cover this outstanding journey.

Nastyelgic & Tilt Shift Records Sign to Forbes Music

The New Jersey hip hop recording artist and label owner recruited the company to oversee marketing operations for his latest single "Killin' Hip Hop" and his (yet to be named) upcoming album.

==

For Immediate Release - April 7, 2015 -- Forbes Music announced today (April 7) that hip hop recording artist Nastyelgic plans to release his upcoming debut studio LP, under Forbes Music. The first single off the yet to be named debut album "Killin' Hip Hop" is already in stores. Nastyelgic has recruited award winning producer Madd Focus, who was also influential in his move to Forbes Music, to produce the follow up single to his debut, according to the label. "Killin' Hip Hop" is due to make it's impact on radio in July of 2015.

Listen to "Killin' Hip Hop" via AudioMack | Click Here

Nastyelgic is also hard at work with his older brother, who will be the main producer behind his LP. Ja'Ron "Jaronamo Beats" Jackson is also the genius producer behind "Killin' Hip Hop". "I work with him on all my projects. He is my right hand for producing, and when I do shows he's the drummer in the live band," said Nastyelgic about his brother.

When asked about his new deal with Forbes Music, Nastyelgic described it as heaven on earth; a deal with no contracts and no restrictions. "For an artist it allows you to actually be an artist instead of being an industry puppet. Having the opportunity to be independent means that you make or break yourself; it's either you got it or you don't," he said. "When Madd Focus contacted me back, and I was able to speak with them I was pretty much sold after that."

"Forbes Music's status of achievement is where I would like Tilt Shift to be. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be mentored by someone who has the experience in doing so," he said. "Make no mistake, I'm not trying to emulate Forbes Music exactly. If that were the case there would be no purpose for "Tilt Shift Records". By joining Forbes, Tilt Shift Records will now have a solid foundation to build on in order to have its own place in the music industry."

Poughkeepsie rapper Don Dayo begins to impact radio

KNS Records' Don Dayo is now beginning to make his impact on the radio industry with his latest single "Superstar" beginning to take the urban market by storm.

For Immediate Release

D'ron Forbes
forbesmusicinc@gmail.com
(504)329-0884

Debuting in the top 5,000 singles on Amazon Music, trending on twitter and now impacting the radio industry is "Superstar" by Don Dayo. The single has done very well in it's first month and now begins to gain momentum in the world of radio. In the past week the New York rapper has seen 4 new playlist adds.

Stations

IBFU Radio
Dj Todd's Underground
GUA Radio
Notorious 760 Radio

In a review from 2014 Forbes Music Inc Journalist of the year Tammy Johnson of Phoenix Star 9 the single was described as having "raw street lyrics free of the gimmicks that hip hop has been embracing lately." Johnson also went on to say "I dig the vibe and the classic NY roughness that Dayo brings to the track."

"Superstar" by Don Dayo has already been nominated for the Forbes Music Inc 2015 "Single of The Year" award and is just a few adds away from a 2015  "UMC Urban Radio Acclaim" nomination from Unsigned Media Connections. The Forbes Music Inc awards jumps off in November but as they begin to push new music throughout the year the nominations are dropped in the ballot box.

Don Dayo could possibly be looking at some other awards nominations as well. Forbes Music Inc also presents awards for the artist of the year, top selling single, most viewed youtube single, top performing artist, top dj, hip hop journalist, producer of the year and is introducing a newly added top spotify single award. We will most definitely keep a close eye on Don Dayo for the remainder of this year in music.

Music Review: Knormul A+ - Hyber Knation

Check out Knormul A+'s "Hyber Knation" here:
Talk about jumping off a project with a message... the introductory record "T.C. (The Current)" sets standards very high for this mixtape.  This record oozes with wisdom and kicks supreme knowledge that may sometimes go over the average listener's head but is worth the repeat to get a full understanding. Knormul A+ delivers a stellar performance and follows up with an enlightening flashback from The Chapelle Show.

The following record "Sha-Bam (The Distraction)" would do all but meet up with the expectations and lived true to its title by being totally out of place on this album. Lyrically the record was great but the production was a major buzz kill and not at all a match to the theme of the project. The beat was not mixed very well and with exception to the drums featured some very low quality instruments. The half time break down of the track was a very creative move but I think most people would not make it to that point in this record.

In a major change up however, Knormul came right back out swinging with "Jim Wheeler (The Slave)" which was a heck of a record. Production and lyrics were both at peak levels on this one. This is not just a very well put together track but yet another record that delivers thought provoking info for you to ponder about. The following records "The Unobtrusive Table Food Interlude" and "Aspartame (The Poison)" bring more of the same thought provoking lyricism across the mental.

There are simply very little kinks in the armor as this mixtape finishes up in extraordinary fashion. More thought provoking lyrics, more deep rooted audio clips that are truly frightening to believe may possible be true. "Hyber Knation" is one of the dopest, most thought provoking and creative releases of 2014 and should be heard by music fans across all genres even though it is of the urban market. Knormul A+ is definitely worthy of being given many props for this project and I can't wait to hear more. (Go Listen Now)

Overall Rating: 8/10 – Lyrics: 9/10 – Production: 7.5/10 – Best: John Todd (The Incite) – Worst: Sha-Bam (The Distraction)

How To Find and Buy Exclusive Beats Online From The Right Site

When you buy exclusive beats online as an artist you want to know that you are making the right decisions. I am about to break down some of the key things you need to look out for when shopping around to different music producers. How to search properly for the right website and how to get what YOU want out of the deal; not letting the right beats slip through your fingertips.

First rule of how to buy exclusive beats online is, try to find a website that has only exclusive licenses. When you go into a website with the sole intention of buying exclusive beats and you see lease beats for sale, run for the hills. This usually means that tons of rappers have already leased the beat and used it. Maybe a major company has already added it to a marketing campaign, which makes your version just an instrumental.

No matter what deal a lease beat website offers, (example: buy 1 get 15 free) remember that this is just to get you to focus on the sweet deal and forget about the fact that what you really want is some exclusive beats that you can own, and be the only one that has ever used them. Don't get sucked into the hype of lease beats, as an artist all you are doing is creating more competition for yourself and limiting what you can do.

The second thing you want to look for is that phone number, if you go to a beat website and have to travel all the way to the contact page to get a phone number or can't find one on the website at all, then you are asking for trouble. The music producer should be asking you to contact him/her seeing as we live in the age of relationship building; and you should definitely give them a call before purchasing a beat, to ask questions.

Get Radio Promotion from IBFU Radio
That leads me to the third rule of buying exclusive beats online. Build that relationship with the producer and get yourself acquainted with who you are doing business with. That is key to knowing when you have found yourself the right spot to buying exclusive beats online. When you speak to a producer and you like what they have to say, go ahead and show them that support; buy some exclusive beats and be sure to give them the credit they deserve for producing your records. (example: prod. by Christina Lynn Forbes)

You also want to find a producer that has one set price for their beats. Producers that have different prices for their beats are normally charging based off personal feelings, whereas producers with one set price for every beat have some sort of pricing policy in order. Every business; even a beat selling business should have some sort of pricing policy in place to ensure the customer is treated fairly.

Recommendation - Buy exclusive beats online for $24.99 at IndustryBeatsForYou.com

New Music Tuesday: Maine - Henney

LISTEN ON SOUNDCLOUD

Henney is the second single of 2014 for from Long Island's no. 1 underground r&b artist, Maine. This song is where ghetto r&b grabs a hold of pop and collides with the party at the back of the club. Henney is the music lover's drinking song of the year, hands down. Sure there are lots of drinking songs past and present, but there has long been the need for a dedication to the hood's favorite bottle.

Henney is Maine's follow up to a great debut release in “I Can't Explain It;” and the cap off to a very successful year which ended in Maine being nominated for five Forbes Music Awards. He has most definitely proven himself worthy of rotation in any playlist this year; spending over 14 weeks at no. 1 on the IBFU Radio Live-XM radio airplay charts and releasing two AmazonMusic best sellers.

##### "Henney has been cleared for the Mainstream Top40, Urban and Urban AC radio formats. Already registered with BDS, Mediabase and ready for worldwide rotation. For promotional radio version of the song please email myrocspace@gmail.com and for personal use the song can be downloaded on iTunes, Google Play and AmazonMusic or streamed on Spotify." #####

4 Tips for how to make it as underground rappers

I am about to give you some pointers on how to take your rap career to the next level. I will not begin with a long winded intro; I will simply begin by saying this. If you want to make more money off of your music and have a larger fan base, then read this very carefully. This information is not to be taken lightly; not if  you intend on having a long and successful career. So without further delay, here are the tips I have for you!

Tip #1: Rap about things that matter!

The market we have in rap right now is very difficult to follow. It seems as if this "trap" style music is the hottest thing in the country right now; but remember that it really is just for right now. If you haven't noticed the rate in which rappers come and go, pay closer attention. Everyday there is a new rapper popping up and that is because there is no reason to stick with one rapper for a long period of time; everybody is rapping about the same thing and over pretty much the same beat.

Pay close attention to the rappers that actually have been here longer than these guys. They all rap about something that is of a deeper topic than "movin dope" or "trappin out the bando." They are giving you a dose of what life is really like, hence they last longer; and labels are willing to keep them on board. This is because the topics they choose to address are issues that really matter.

Tip #2: Use exclusive beats!

The one thing that I have noticed time and time again is a rapper downloading some free beats or leasing some beats because they can get more bang for their buck. Lease beats are like prostitutes, you will not spend the rest of your life with one, and every other rapper can use them. What you need is something that belongs to you; and has never been used by anyone else. Find a producer that has cheap exclusive beats for sale and pick a beat from the catalog that fits you. Buy that beat and make yourself a hit, or buy multiple beats and create a full project (EP, LP or Album).

Yes this is a slight bit more expensive but seriously, your album does not have to be released tomorrow. Take your time working on the project. Some of the best rappers in the world only drop one album per year; and that is because they let the budget do its best work. Besides, I know of producers that sell exclusive beats for the same price that some other producers lease beats for; and only sell beats to one artist.

Tip #3: Stay away from free mixtape sites!

Yes I said it, stay away from the free mixtape sites if you want to make serious money. I personally believe that if you are going to succeed in this music industry right off the back, you need to sell your music. Yes some artists have been successful giving their music away, but look at how much time they wasted in the process and how much money they could have made as well. If they sold as many copies as they gave away they would not need a record deal; honestly they may be millionaires right now.

I personally had a $65,000 year when I released my first album; and that is honestly without performances. Just mentioning that for those of you who think it is impossible to sell enough records to make it. You can also get yourself pumping by releasing hot singles. If the single is dope you will sell records; maybe not a ton on your first single; but remember like I said buy cheap exclusive beats online and you will do just fine.

Tip #4: Hire a professional publicist and music promoter!

This is a very big topic; you have to take this one very seriously. You are not a professional promoter; nor do you have the connections necessary to take a project to the next level. So you need to hire a some sort of hip hop music promotion service that can help you take your music to the next level. Publicity is key, so you need a publicist as well; one that can get you some interviews and get you listed in some magazines.

Working as a publicist at Forbes Music Inc. I cannot begin tell you how important it is, but I will tell you right now that there are no ways of getting around it. Bill Gates once said "If I only had $2 left to my name, I would spend $1 of it on publicity." Public relations is the driving force of all things successful. A good publicist or publicity firm is going to give you the edge you need.

Conclusion

I will end right here because nobody likes a long winded article; but I will write some more in the future to help you out. I try to do so every chance I get; but for now I stop here. Thank you for reading and good luck with your music career. If you need any advice give me a call at (504)329-0884 and I would be happy to speak with you. Yes, I did just drop my number online because that is what real people do.

PEACE, D'ron Forbes
