Now-a-days reggae fusion music is very much unappreciated. People act like since the days of Bob Marley we have no hope in the world of reggae music. However, there are tons of reggae artists out here that deserve to be listened to. You have guys like Jah Cure, Damien Marley and ORieL Barry who have taken up the slack and put the reggae world on their backs, keeping good music coming consistently.
ORieL Barry has just completed a historic collaboration with grammy award winner Richie Stephens on his new record 'Give Me a Reason'. As a matter of fact ORieL is one of the best prospects to step into the game since the late great legend. He has captured an audience in over 12 different countries and captured a top spot as a reggae fusion artist with his website afarmusicgroup.com being ranked top 10 globally.
Since the early 2000's when dancehall music broke into the world of music on a global scale, we have yet to see a comeback for reggae music artists on that type of level. I highly believe that the music industry could use some of the cool, melodic vibes that reggae fusion music brings to the table. Given the fact that the likes of reggae played a key role in originating hip hop, I think this action is long over due.
