Unsigned Rapper / Hip Hop Artist Mixtape Review: J. Wils - Food for Thought

Well... here  we  go  again  folks,  with  yet  another  review.  This  is  however,  not  going  to  be  one  that  you  are  used  to  hearing,  nor  one  that  I  am used  to  writing.  We  are  going  to  have  to  step  into  our  space  suits,  and  step  into  our  time  machines  because  Food  for  Thought  by:  J.  Wils  is  about  to  take  us  way  back  in  time.  From  the  second  this  mixtape  comes  on  I  got  a  wiff  of  that  old  Outkast,  Goodie  Mobb,  soul  food  music. A  true  testament  to the real  hip  hop  culture  and  sound.  This mixtape  is making  a  major  statement  to  rap  industry.  "Real  hip  hop  is  back".


Obviously  well  educated,  and  not  afraid  to  show  it  J.  Wils  is  making  it  cool  to  display  intelligence.  This  mixtape  is  one  to  not  only  be  remembered,  but  respected.  "Food  for  Thought  is  most  definitely  a  classic  mixtape  that  anybody  with  common  sense  would  say  has  nothing  but  real  music.

"Food  for  Thought"  is  12  tracks  of  straight  goodness.  One  of  my  favorite  songs  being  "Peace,  Love  -  ft.  JI  Beaty".  The  song  has  a  real  positive  message  that  is  needed  in  hip  hop,  and  oh  bo!*  the  second  verse  is  a  lyrical  killer. "Deceiving"  is  another  great  track  on  the  mixtape  with  an  amazing  twist for the ladies. This  mixtape  is  definitely  a must  listen.  I  give  it  a  perfect  10/10  there  are  no  songs  on  this  mixtape  that  are necessary  to  skip.
